Level 676

Post by BOBWM »

I didn't make it far from my last cry for help.
On 676, the hint implies only one bridge. Considering the number of blocks I can free from the lake, I can't conceive where such bridge can go.
As always, any help appreciated.

I'm not really a fan of levels that just require blocks to be pushed into water but this one looks fairly straightforward. The intended solution would appear to require blocks to be pushed down through the centre, around the lower right, and across the bottom. I calculate that you need 10 blocks (in addition to those that provide pathways for others in top section & the 1 you need to get in yourself).

However, you can just build a bridge from C8 to B8 and then down to B16 that also requires 10 blocks. That's the way I'd go.

I agree that just pushing blocks around shouldn't be a challenge, I just don't like to skip any level.
I actually tried both your suggested solutions before asking for help.
My main problem is freeing enough blocks from the "lake" to get very far.
C8 to B8 doesn't provide an entry to row C.
I'm sorry, but i still need help.

The trick is to not waste blocks unnecessarily. It's tempting to just shoot all of the blocks in Row 7 to the right but you can keep D7, F7 & H7 for later and still make a path for yourself. I've chosen to build the bridge to the flag from C9 to B9 and then down to B16, with an escape bridge at C8.

Shoot all 3 blocks in Columns D,F,H down so that you end up with blocks on D9, F9, H9. Then shoot J7, L7, N7 right to give you an entry path. Then shoot E4 to F8 so that you can create your escape bridge at C8. Now just feed blocks in via C9 -> B9 -> B10, etc.

You already have 7 blocks free so you just need to get 3 more from the last 7 - should be easy enough!
