Mirror madness ll by Fransesco
Bocola
I play this level from the Executive level file which is unrated in that collection. I play on an iPad at the online LaserTank site and find by using the smaller level files, ie Gold, Fun, and Executive, I don’t get the error message I get with the larger level collections. Anyway, can someone tell me the difficulty rating of this level, and perhaps a hint or two on how to solve it? Does the block above the tank mover in the lower right corner come into play? Thanks, Jeanne

Re: Mirror madness 11
Hi Jeanne
It is currently rated "Hard". For reference, it is #439 in the original LaserTank.lvl file.
I've had a play for about 30 min but haven't quite worked out how to solve it yet. I initially thought that you had to enter via that lower-right Mover, so that you could re-arrange pieces inside but that you then needed to go back outside and re-enter at E2 to get to the flag - there are even mirrors set up so that you can deal with the ATs at F2-F4. However, I couldn't see how to get back outside from the lower-right.
I now think that you probably have to set a few things up first from outside and then go in at the lower-right and across the middle to the left, altho' I don't know how to deal with the ATs at F8 & F11 yet.
If I'm right then the Movable Block at O12 that you asked about might only be there to shield you from the I12 AT, and the fact that it is a Movable Block instead of a Solid Block could simply be a mis-direction or taunt - here is this useful thing but we can't actually use it.
If I'm wrong, and we do need to get back outside, then it would probably be used for that, altho' I can't see how to get it in the right place.
It is a well-made level with lots of possibilities. I'll have another look later today and see if I can make further progress.

Re: Mirror madness 11
Ok, I've solved it but not very efficiently. I was able to get most of what needed to be done without going inside. Some of the same objectives can be achieved with different objects (mostly using different mirrors) and the flag is still reachable.
I didn't use the O12 Block for anything other than as a shield against the I12 AT and, when it was no longer needed, I pushed it in the water to save myself 2 moves.
I ended up going inside from the top via E2 and via the O14 Mover. The listed GHS suggest that it might be possible to eliminate one of those entrances, presumably by manipulating mirrors without needing to move much.

Thanks, Mark,
LaserTank lb1 doesn’t have a grid so I’ll have to take a screenshot and print a copy to draw on. Am l correct in assuming that you’ve solved it two ways, one by entering at the top, and one by entering at the bottom right?

Ah, I only play the original game on computer - didn't realise that you couldn't see a grid.
You prob know this but the 16 columns are A to P and the Rows 1 to 16, numbered from the top.
E2 is the right-hand Movable Block in the 2nd row, F2-F4 is the column of 3 left-facing ATs next to E2, and F8 & F11 are the 2 ATs facing each other in the same column.
O14 is the only Mover, O12 is the Block that you asked about, and I12 is the right-facing AT pointing at that Block.
I have solved it by going in from bottom-right, but I still needed to travel in from the top to deal with F8 (before going back out) and therefore used a heap of extra moves. I have managed to get my solution down to 80 moves by not going in through the bottom-right at all - just using the mirrors to do all that was required, including killing the F2-F4 ATs.
Let me know if you would like another hint.

Congratulations Jeanne!
I do like to try and get as low a score as I can but having fun is the only requirement that I have for playing a level.
