Lasertank hasn't been working since the Windows update KB85086672.
I've tried everything, but my favorite program still won't start.
Is anyone else having the same problem?
Please help me!

Re: Lasertank won't start
I have Win 11 Home 25H2 and my LT works as expected but I don't have KB85086672 installed. It's an optional update. Try uninstalling it.

Re: Lasertank won't start
I had the same problem with this update last week. After uninstalling it, LT worked perfectly.
How can I make sure I don't get offered this (optional) update again?

Have a look here. You'll need to download a program from Microsoft.

Re: Lasertank won't start
Thanks for the link. I downloaded and ran the tool.
A message with a yellow background appears on the page:
Troubleshooting has been postponed, and this tool is no longer being developed.
When I click “Next,” I select “Hide updates,” but the list doesn’t include KB85086672—only a security update for Microsoft Defender.
So I canceled the tool.
The link above also includes another method using PowerShell, but it doesn’t work for me. My version of PowerShell doesn’t have the Get-WUList and Hide-WindowsUpdate -Title commands, even though I’ve updated PowerShell to the latest version.
Tough luck.
